Wholesale Firewood delivered throughout the UK

Logwise is predominantly a wholesaler of firewood. Since the inception of Logwise, the majority of our firewood production has consistently been sold to trade customers — shipping seasoned and kiln dried firewood throughout the whole of the UK. In fact the inception of this website is our first concerted endeavour into retail sales.

Logwise is a family business that was set up by me, Gareth Taylor, I have been in the forestry industry since 1996 and started selling firewood from my log yard on the family farm. 

Leaving as small a carbon footprint as possible is important to me and my business. As a result, Logwise invests in producing the best quality firewood it can, as sustainably as possible. We have also developed an ecologically friendly product range: for example, all our waste wood is used in biomass boilers to kiln dry our firewood; solar panels provide some of our electricity and we offset our carbon footprint by replanting natural British trees in partnership with the Woodland Trust.

With the underlying philosophy instilled in Logwise, the product range we have built and straightforward national distribution of our products, I hope we can provide you with top quality British firewood products you are happy with.

• All timber is British FSC certified or sourced from sustainably managed woodlands
• Timber processed on site in our timber yard is seasoned in our barns or cured in a biomass fuelled kiln.
• The average moisture content of our kiln dried firewood is less than 20%.
• All pallets have a quality control information label, this highlights the species, moisture content and origin of the timber as well as specific product information.
• Each product is one pallet space. For example,  2 x 1.2m large bulk bags of seasoned hardwood logs are stacked on one pallet.
• Maximum single product volumes for an articulated lorry are: 78 x standard bulk bags, 52 x 1.2m large bulk bags and 2200 nets or carry nets.

Delivery information

• All products are supplied on a pallet, securely attached with pallet tape and wrap.
• Haulage is charged at cost, typically £44* per pallet, or, £500 – £650* for a full articulated lorry.
• An articulated lorry holds 26 pallets.
• *typical cost is for UK mainland, excluding the highlands.
• No order is processed until a delivery cost has been agreed.
