Leeds Ninja Challenge
Here at Logwise HQ, we are donning our running gear, pumping out motivational tunes and getting ready for a challenge… The Leeds Ninja Challenge to be precise! Click HERE to sponsor us! This is an event set up by St Gemma’s Hospice – a Leeds-based charity providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting illnesses and their carers in their in-patient unit and via their community team.
Overseen by the Sue Ryder organisation, Leeds’ other hospice – Sue Ryder Wheatfields offers the same expert care and support for both patients and their loved ones, and both hospices provide not just medical care, but emotional support, complementary therapies and bereavement counselling.
The cost to the patient and their loved ones for this amazing care is ZERO. Not one single, solitary pound. Both hospices rely on donations in order to keep their vital services running, which is why we have decided to take part in the Leeds Ninja Challenge 2018.
The Leeds Ninja Challenge is a 5k run with the added bonus of scramble nets, rat run tubes, slides and much more. Taking place at Harewood House on Saturday April 28th 2018, #teamlogwise will be there racing to the finish line to press the buzzer and be crowned ninja champions!
Now for the serious bit.
#teamlogwise are doing this challenge because we have seen (and continue to see) just how fantastic St Gemma’s and Wheatfields hospices are. They have provided outstanding, holistic care for our loved ones in a quiet, compassionate manner as well as a shoulder for us to cry on at the most difficult time of our lives, and ongoing support after the devastating loss of people we love. We feel that nothing we do could even begin to repay them for this support, but we’d like to try. That’s where you, our extended Logwise family come in.
Please, if you can, click on the link HERE to sponsor us for the Leeds Ninja Challenge. Every pound helps. On the page you’ll also find updates on how our training is going and more info on #teamlogwise. You can also follow us on social media to see how we’re getting on.
If you’d like to come and support us on the day, #teamlogwise will be running at 12pm. We’d love to see you there!
Love, Logwise x
